Dörter Printing and Packaging was established in 1955 as a small workshop by four close friends.

Since 1955, Dörter has become one of the most preferred brands for its quality and experience both in Turkey and in the region across borders. One decade after the establishment of Dörter Printing and Packaging, Dogan Printing was founded. Its founder Vural Heper, who has been always dreaming to create value for society and the people around himself. He established the company in a small 10m2 shop in Istanbul with a hand pedal machine that is still in use. Both companies were the pioneers in their fields, and they made extensive contributions to Turkey’s industrialization. They have enhanced their operations with tens of years of experience and with their respect for their business partners and their business.

Dörter Printing and Packaging is the first manufacturer of McDonald’s that was the first fast-food-chain brand in Turkey. It is one of the founding members of the Cardboard Packaging Manufacturers Association, and it is Turkey’s first approved registered producer of the playing cards.

Dogan Printing had continued its contributions to Turkey’s economy for both local and export markets by supplying the box and packaging needs of many large companies, such as Santral Textile and Bozkurt Textile, both were the biggest textile companies of their time. The collaboration with Zorlu Textile has started in 1998 and it has been continuing successfully for more than 20 years.

In 2010, Dörter and Dogan Packaging and Printing companies have merged, and they have become Turkey’s one of the largest packaging groups. Followed by the merger, international FSC certification and successful SEDEX audits have brought international recognition and further expansion into new export markets.

Today, it continues to be the region’s one of the leading Printing and Packaging companies within its hundreds of employees and 66 years experiences.

Foundation

Dörter started its operations in 1955 with 4 entrepreneurs in Istanbul.

First Machine

Foundation in Istanbul and the First Machine

1966

Second Machine

In 1966, capacity was increased with the 23x35 swinging pedal machine which was one of the top products globally.

1970

3-Storey Building in Topkapı

In 1970 Dörter moved to its own 3-Storey building in Topkapi. It has added 90x126 multi-color printing machine and 9x126 bobst cutting machine to its inventory, which are among the first machines in the country.

1971

Textile Products Export

With its expertise in home textile packaging and printing, Dogan has become Turkey’s premium packaging and printing house.

1977

First Big Sized Machine

First big sized (90x126) 4 color printing machine has been brought to Turkey and deployed.

1980

A New Factory in Topkapi

With the latest technology machinery investments, Dogan moved its premises to Topkapi in a large facility.

1990

Business Partnership with McDonald’s

In 1990, Dörter became McDonalds’ first approved printing and packaging supplier in Turkey.

1991

CPMA Membership

Dörter has become the founding member of Cardboard Packaging Manufacturers Association.

1992

22.000 M2 New Factory in Halkali

Turkey’s one of the largest production facilities for printing and packaging with 22.00 sqm have been opened in Halkali, Istanbul.

1992

22.000 m2 New Workshop in Halkali

In 1992, in line with the increasing demands, by opening a new workshop of 22.000 m2 in Halkalı
increased its production capacity again.

1994

First Approved Manufacturer of Playing Cards

Dörter became the first approved producer of playing cards in Turkey.

1995

First Export to Bulgaria

The first export to Bulgaria was a major toothpaste boxes delivery.

2000

First Disney Approved Packaging Supplier

It became the first Disney approved packaging supplier in 2000.

2000

Major contracts with leading brands of Turkey and Europe

It became the first approved producer of the brands Eczacibasi, Ulker, Primark and Tesco in 2000.

2010

Merge

Dogan and Dörter Printing and Packaging companies under Dörter brand and the merged company has become Turkey’s one of the largest packaging and printing companies.

2012

FSC Certificate Award

In 2012, it was awarded with the FSC® certificate with its extensive environmental friendly structure and processes.

2014

SEDEX Inspection

The social responsibility, production standards and working conditions of Dörter Printing and Packaging are audited and approved by SEDEX, an ethical trade service provider.

2021

Present Day

Today, Dörter Printing and Packaging has become the leader of the sector with its continuously enhancing responsible and sustainable business practices.
